Do you hear yourself? Can you, even? 

High demand for consumer goods.  Long lead times for most of it due to strains on the supply chain.  Workers all dealing with these issues while their customer bases bitch, moan and cry in the most dramatic fashion as if the word "wait" was a fabrication made by the lazy/entitled to opress the clearly-deserving.  "How can you be out of <insert fringe product here>!?  Who does your ordering?  -Gasps for dramatic effect.-. What am a supposed to doooo?  This is a nightmare!!"

The workers behind closed doors, beat down to hysteria, laughing at themselves  and their colleagues for asking when it will be back to normal, creating their own wishful answer and in many ways not knowing what normal means anymore, let alone what it will look like when it is "back."  Could this be it?  After all, it did take over a year of "two weeks to slow the spread" to get us where we are now.  

Any casual observer:  Do you hear yourself right now?  Can you even?  

Everyone needing so desperately to chill, mostly without opportunity to do so.
