Mr. President Bush:

Where are you taking us all and why do you insist we go in this huge handbsasket?

Last week one of my cats passed away. He was a really good friend to me and my dad and was too young to have to die already. Im mad about it and it hurts a lot. In having pets you accept that youll outlive them. At the same time though, you have an idea of when youll have to let go. This one was unexpected and way too early. I miss him dearly and probably always will to a certain extent. Ive lost pets before but this one is different. Like I say, he was a friend. RIP, Simon. I love you, buddy.

While you have to hand it to Florida for taking care of business in tostitos bowl #2, make no mistake about it, they are NOT the national champions. Over the next year, I will say this often and perhaps louder than will be acceptable at times: Congratuations to Boise State, the REAL 2006 national champions!!

This morning I saw a cat burgler behind some apartment homes. He was dressed in all black.

How stupid.

Thats what I said. What sort of respectable cat burgler wears all black during the day?

No. I mean, who would want to steal a cat anyway?

Well, there is a pretty substantial black market for cats these days?

Oh yeah?

Yeah.

I wonder if they be all like, "hey, you need anything."
"Sure, you holdin?"
"Everything but calico and siamese"
"what you got in an orange tabby"
"oh man, i just got some primo garfield in.
only twelve a pound."

yeah man. its probably the same people who breed dogs like the puggabullayorkese or the hairless chido spaniel terrier.

yep.

yep.

Louisville may have won the Orange Bowl but it was the most boring college football game I can remember ever watching. After Boise State pulled off the miracle last night, I guess I just expect more. I love what UH does on offense because they make it an exciting game to watch, even when they fall short of the victory.

Congrats to Boise State, btw. In the future, when I talk about this season, I will address Boise State as the national champions.

Speaking of, what happened to that little school of elitest bastards in Austin's team ths year? aww... poor little fellas didnt win the conference. good. assholes.

I just got back from Memphis last night and elected to become one with my sofa instead of trying to go out with all the amatuers. The trip to Memphis was pretty awesome and the Liberty Bowl was a nice experience, although I cant begin to tell you how badly I wanted UH to win that game. Its going to be hard losing Kolb and the the other outstanding seniors but it looks like the program is restored to a state where even a bad year will consist of 7+ wins.
