With high temperatures nearing the nineties, summer has pretty well returned. Baseball is underway but not as exciting as it could be, at least not yet. Looks like the cards and astros are setting the scene for an epic battle for last place in the central. Even the bucs wont get sucked into that war. The Blue Jays can win the AL central. I know they can. Watching Halladay pitch is one of those guilty pleasures. If you are a baseball fan, you owe it to yourself to watch this guy perform every 4-5 days. Not to mention, vernon wells as a true 4-tool player. If Clemens wants to play for any of his former teams who has a legitimate shot at the playoffs, with his help, he need not look any furthur than Toronto. If thats not your cup of brew and you want to keep it local, look no furthur than the astros' hunter pence. he is this year's luke scott. luke scott? this year's jason lane. jason lane. well, he aint no kevin bass.
also, in regard to the upcoming season, ive gotta say, im ready to kick off my heels and have some fun! Time to hit the beach. Time to listen to some live music. Time to go out with no plan and end up having a blast. I'm still working at the good 'ol pool store. for how much longer? 2 years, 5 months, 4 days. This, coincidentally enough, is also my countdown to thirty. I figure 14 years is about long enough to bust my hump, making 0thers wealthy and not so much doing that for myself. At that point I plan to become a beekeeper. Ya know, one of those guys who keeps bees for profits from honey and general musings. But I wouldnt want to get stung a bunch. That would get old fast. But in the scheme of things, Im flexible. If a lucrative beekeeping opportunity isnt available, I'm prepared to do something else including not limited to: bookkeeping, record keeping or secret keeping. word.
